The "caffè sospeso" - pending coffee - Neapolitan tradition revisited in the city of Expo 2015...
Dine in one of the restaurants participating to this initiative and make a donation to provide a meal to those in need. Together we will be able to help many persons.
Inspired by this tradition and aiming at highlighting Expo 2015 focus on nutrition, Milan launches the "Pending Dinner" initiative. While Milan is the center of the debate on how to feed the planet, we can all give our contribution to a more open society caring for those who are not able to sit at our table.
Dining in one of the restaurants participating to the "Cena Sospesa" initiative, a network of cafés and restaurants sponsored by Caritas Ambrosiana, Milan Municipality and local trade organizations, you have now the opportunity to provide a meal tho those who cannot afford it. Through a simple gesture, your donation - any amount - will contribute to pay for a "Cena Sospesa" 10-euro voucher. Caritas Ambrosiana Counseling Centers will distribute these meal vouchers to citizens in need, who will then be able to spend them in local cafés or restaurants, just like any other client. Together we will help, respecting their dignity, persons and families in need.
Use the envelope you'll find on your table. When the waiter will take your payment, he will also deposit your donation in the collection box on display in the restaurant. Envelopes will be collected by Caritas Ambrosiana and used to pay for "Cena Sospesa" meal vouchers.
"Cena Sospesa" is a Caritas Ambrosiana initiative, sponsored by Milan Municipality, FIPE, Confcommercio and supported by Città Expo and EPAM.
